We are looking a a volunteer who speaks Chinese to help us do intake with our clients requesting Basic Needs services such as food and clothing.
Qualifications:
- Must be fully vaccinated
- Must have basic computer skills
- Ability to speak, read and write basic Chinese
- Ability to multi task
- Must be able to work in both calm and fast paced environments
- Enjoys working with diverse populations and helping people
- Good penmanship helpful
- Ability to support Davis Street staff in any capacity
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and explain to them the services provided
- Help fill out the client intake forms
- Collect and copy client documents
- Create physical client files
- Input client data in Apricot Data Base
- Inform them of upcoming events and services
- Maintain a respectful relationship with clients , staff and other volunteers
This assignment is only on Monday's from 10am to 3pm
