Needs From: City of San Leandro

We are looking a a volunteer who speaks Chinese to help us do intake with our clients requesting Basic Needs services such as food and clothing. Qualifications: Must be fully vaccinated Must have basic computer skills Ability to speak, read and write basic Chinese Ability to multi task Must be able to work in both calm and fast paced environments Enjoys working with diverse populations and helping people Good penmanship helpful Ability to support Davis Street staff in any capacity Responsibilities:  Greet clients and explain to them the services provided  Help fill out the client intake forms Collect and copy client documents Create physical client files Input client data in Apricot Data Base Inform them of upcoming events and services Maintain a respectful relationship with clients , staff and other volunteers This assignment is only on Monday's from 10am to 3pm

 

As Davis Street starts to reopen at full capacity, we are looking for a volunteer who will assist us in sorting through donations and keeping our free clothing closet well stocked with items.

Qualifications:

Must be fully vaccinated  Must be willing to sort through unknown used donations  Must be able to bend, stand and lift up to 20 pounds Enjoys working with a diverse population and helping people Must be able to work in both calm and fast-paced environments Strong organizational skills Ability to support Davis Street staff in any capacity 

Responsibilities:

Receive donations from donors  Sort and hang clothing  Organizing shelfs with other donations Keep clothing area clean and restocked Maintain a respectful relationship with clients, staff and other volunteers
