Help deliver nutritious meals to homebound seniors in need in Oakland, Hayward, Castro Valley, San Leandro or San Lorenzo!
Program Details:
- Deliveries take approximately 2-3 hours, are scheduled on a weekday between the hours of 9:00AM and 1:00PM (no weekend deliveries)
- After completing the registration process, you may have the same route every week or sign up for meal delivery routes on an ad hoc basis through our online delivery route platform.
- Training is provided, as is health & safety equipment (face coverings and gloves)
Requirements:
- Volunteer drivers must be at least 18 years of age and/or accompanied by a legal guardian if under 18.
- Volunteers must have their own vehicle, a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
COVID-19 Measures:
We have developed a process possible for meal pick up and delivery to keep everyone as safe as possible. Despite the evolving landscape of the public health crisis, our mission and service continues! We are an essential service and you can join us as an essential volunteer; people need the meals we prepare and the time you provide to stay healthy and happy.
